Project Overview
Co-Tasker is a local services marketplace that brings together people looking for help with skilled professionals who are ready to take on work in their area. Based in Europe, the platform is popular for bringing services from home repairs and furniture assembly to cleaning, moving, errands, and business support. As the platform expanded across different cities and service categories, it needed a marketplace experience that could handle more users, more tasks, and more interactions without becoming difficult to manage. The focus was on making task posting, service discovery, booking, payments, and communication feel simple for both customers and professionals while creating a foundation that could support future growth.

Despite being live, the platform had its own set of issues in delivering complete transparency in operations.
Although the platform connected marketplaces effectively in the local areas of Europe, the team faced issues regulating its operations. Here’s a closer look at the problem at hand
Finding someone for everyday tasks often depended on personal referrals or classified listings. It was difficult to compare professionals, check their credibility, or know who was available.
Many skilled professionals relied on word of mouth or social media to attract customers. There was no consistent way to discover nearby jobs or manage incoming work from one place.
Customers had to contact multiple providers individually to compare prices and availability. The process was time-consuming and often delayed getting the work started.
Hiring someone without verified information created uncertainty for customers. Reviews, identity checks, and transparent profiles were needed to help users make informed decisions.
Discussions about requirements, pricing, and schedules frequently moved between calls, text messages, and third-party apps. This made it harder to keep track of task details and updates
Without a structured workflow, handling payments, confirming completed work, and resolving disputes could become complicated for both customers and service providers.
As more users, service categories, and locations were added, the marketplace required a scalable system that could handle increasing activity while keeping the experience simple for both sides of the platform.

Key Features
Team CoreDron didn’t just design the attendance platform; we went into the core of the problem to deliver the right solution for the brand.
While working on the Co-Tasker project, we came across a few challenges, especially around securing jobs and trustworthiness. Here’s a closer look at the challenges we faced during development.
Customers wanted a quick way to post tasks, while service providers needed tools to discover work, manage offers, and track ongoing jobs. The platform had to support both without making either experience complicated.
As more users and service categories were added, presenting suitable tasks to the right professionals became more challenging. Matching had to consider factors such as location, service type, and availability.
A marketplace depends on confidence from both sides. Profile verification, ratings, reviews, and completed job history had to be integrated into the platform without adding unnecessary friction during onboarding.
Every task moved through multiple stages, from posting and offer acceptance to completion and payment. Keeping customers and service providers updated throughout the process required a consistent workflow.
Payments needed to be handled securely while providing clear visibility into transaction status, completed jobs, and payment confirmations for both customers and service providers.
As the number of active users, tasks, and service categories increased, the platform needed to maintain consistent performance without slowing down the search, booking, or communication experience.
Adding features such as messaging, reviews, payments, and profile management increased the platform's capabilities. The challenge was to introduce these functions without making everyday tasks like posting or job management feel overwhelming.

Creating a unique attendance-tracking application was the project's primary task. Here’s a closer look at the unique challenges we faced while delivering the solution.
We helped Co-Tasker gain momentum in the local marketplace while improving its operations. Here’s what it looks like in practice.
Instead of searching across different platforms or relying on referrals, customers could post a task and receive responses from relevant service providers through a single marketplace.
Professionals could discover nearby jobs, respond to customer requests, and manage multiple work opportunities from one platform instead of depending only on word-of-mouth referrals.
Posting a task, receiving offers, and selecting a service provider became a more structured process, reducing the time spent coordinating with multiple people.
Customers and service providers could track a task's progress from posting to completion, making it easier to stay informed without relying on separate calls or messages.
Verified profiles, customer reviews, ratings, and completed job history gave users more information before accepting or offering work, helping build confidence across the marketplace.
Bookings, payments, and completed jobs could be managed through a connected workflow, reducing manual follow-ups and making transactions easier to track.
The marketplace was better positioned to accommodate additional users, service categories, and new service locations while maintaining a consistent experience for customers and service providers.
