DJ Jazzy Jeff Official Store
Turning artist culture into a store fans can shop.
The DJ Jazzy Jeff Official Store lives at shop.djjazzyjeff.com — a standalone Shopify shop for apparel, vinyl, DJ products and branded collections tied to the artist and the Mag Mob community.
It is separate from the DJ Jazzy Jeff music and livestream app: the app is where fans watch, listen and gather; the Official Store is where they buy the physical side of the brand.

Project Overview
Extending the brand into commerce.
The Official Store is a dedicated place for the physical side of the DJ Jazzy Jeff brand — apparel someone would actually wear to a gig, vinyl from the artist’s own catalogue, DJ-focused products for the people who mix and press play, and branded collections that let the community carry a piece of the culture with them.
It sits alongside the DJ Jazzy Jeff web, iOS, Android and Apple TV experience — but on its own domain, on its own platform, so the shop can behave like a shop while the app stays focused on music and community.

The Challenge
A fan store still has to work like a good store.
A fan lands here from a link, an app, a post — usually on a phone, usually in a hurry. The store has to feel like DJ Jazzy Jeff and, at the same time, do the plain retail work: make the catalogue easy to browse, make the product clear, and make the last step short enough that no one drops out halfway through the checkout.
Product Discovery
Different merchandise categories and collections need clear paths so shoppers can move quickly from discovery to relevant products.
Brand Consistency
The store needs to feel unmistakably connected to DJ Jazzy Jeff while still operating as a focused commerce experience.
Responsive Shopping
Product browsing, selection, cart interactions and checkout entry need to remain clear on both desktop and mobile screens.
A Growing Catalog
New arrivals, best sellers, collections and promotional products need a structure that can evolve as inventory changes.
The Store
A dedicated home for the DJ Jazzy Jeff Store.

Product Discovery
From collections into individual products.
Once shoppers enter a collection, the experience shifts from brand discovery to product evaluation — imagery, price and merchandising create a clear path from browsing into the product detail page.
- Prominent product imagery on both listing and detail
- Clear pricing and available options
- Search + account + cart always within reach
- Estimated total and checkout entry on the cart

How the Store Works
From a link to a completed order.
A fan lands on the store from an app, a post or a share. The shortest path from that link to a completed order is six steps, and the store is set up around them.

Challenges & Solutions
The three things a store like this has to get right.
Problem
Fans arrive from every corner of the DJ Jazzy Jeff world at once — some for apparel, some for vinyl, some for a specific drop.
Solution
Lead with collections. The homepage and top navigation surface the part of the store a fan is here for, so the second click lands on the right catalogue instead of a generic product wall.
Problem
Physical products need enough room on the page for a fan to decide — imagery, sizing, options — without the layout turning noisy.
Solution
Give the product detail page real estate. Large imagery, clear title and price, options directly under the buy area, so the shopper can make the decision in one screen.
Problem
Most fans open the link on a phone, and a store that only works on desktop leaves the majority behind at checkout.
Solution
Design the store for the phone first. Collection browsing, product detail, cart and checkout entry all stay usable at the size a fan is actually holding.
Product Outcome
A dedicated place for the physical side of the brand.
What ships is a working Shopify shop under the artist’s own domain — a place a fan can buy apparel, vinyl and branded pieces without leaving the DJ Jazzy Jeff world for a generic marketplace.

FAQs
Frequently asked questions.
What is the DJ Jazzy Jeff Official Store?
The DJ Jazzy Jeff Official Store is a direct-to-fan Shopify storefront at shop.djjazzyjeff.com — a standalone shopping destination for apparel, vinyl, DJ products and branded collections tied to the artist and the wider Mag Mob community. It is a separate surface from the DJ Jazzy Jeff music and livestream app.
What did CoreDron work on for the Official Store?
CoreDron contributed to the DJ Jazzy Jeff Official Store as a engagement (May 1 → Jul 30, 2024) inside the wider Johnny Arguelles portfolio. The work covered the Shopify storefront that a fan lands on today — collection-led discovery, product detail, cart and checkout entry — with the goal of giving the brand a dedicated place to sell physical products online.
Is the DJ Jazzy Jeff Official Store built with Shopify?
Yes. The store runs on Shopify and lives at shop.djjazzyjeff.com. Shopify supplies the underlying commerce platform — product and collection management, cart, checkout and payment handling — while the storefront presents that catalogue as a branded shopping experience for DJ Jazzy Jeff fans.
How is the Official Store related to the main DJ Jazzy Jeff platform?
The Official Store is a standalone Shopify sub-project inside the wider DJ Jazzy Jeff engagement. The main DJ Jazzy Jeff case study covers the web, iOS, Android and Apple TV experience for music, livestreams and the Mag Mob community; the Official Store is the separate direct-to-fan commerce surface for physical products. Both sit inside the same client relationship with Johnny Arguelles.
What products are sold through the store?
The Official Store sells direct-to-fan merchandise tied to the DJ Jazzy Jeff brand — apparel, vinyl, DJ-focused products and branded collections. Specific products, collections and prices change over time, so this case study does not hard-code the current catalogue; the live storefront at shop.djjazzyjeff.com is the source of truth for what is on sale today.
When did CoreDron work on the DJ Jazzy Jeff Official Store?
CoreDron's engagement on the DJ Jazzy Jeff Official Store ran May 1 – Jul 30, 2024 — a focused build inside the wider Johnny Arguelles portfolio. The engagement is separate from the main DJ Jazzy Jeff Music App engagement (Nov 17, 2022 – Feb 23, 2024) and is treated as its own project in this case study.
